Kensington’s independent five ‘red star’ Royal Garden Hotel has completed the final stage of a mammoth £45 million refurbishment. We’ve already seen its public areas refreshed – in addition to its 10 state-of-the-art meeting rooms and conference facilities and its sumptuous Min Jiang and Park Terrace restaurants – however, the hotel has now unveiled a further 154 newly renovated bedrooms and suites situated on the first to fourth floors.
We’re talking all the mod cons and then some complemented by a calming neutral palette of calming shades offset by rich fabrics. Features included as standard are comfortable well-sprung beds, iPod docking stations plus flat screen TVs and media hubs.
2010 was a big year for the hotel which, over that period, unveiled several completed areas of its conference and event facilities. The most dramatic transformation, however, saw a considerable upgrade to the AV facilities of the Palace Suite.
A contemporary layout – completely free from pillars – makes the hotel an ideal venue for hosting large-scale conferences, to receptions and dinner dances for up to 550 guests and event organisers will be in their element when it comes to delivering bespoke and memorable happenings. Factor in the hotel’s superior conference and banqueting product with its own dedicated events team including award-winning executive chef Steve Munkley and in-house AV specialists PSAV and it’s a winning combination.
Says General Manager, Graham Bamford, “We are delighted to complete the final phase by unveiling our new bedrooms. Our continued investment in and development of the hotel and its facilities has been a top priority and we are now better placed than ever before to offer our business and leisure guests a top quality and excellent value product”.
